This is because OEM steering wheels are expensive, and used ones are scarce due to the new model. Using the stock OEM core ensures we maintain OEM safety standards in our custom steering wheels.
Mid-level of our custom builds steering wheels:
1) The top & bottom part of the steering wheel is made of carbon fiber.
2) The steering wheel bezel is also made of carbon fiber.
3) The sides of the steering wheel is made of leather or Alcantara.
